Fire Extinguishers - Proper use of fire extinguishers and when it is safe to use them. Lithium-Ion Battery Fires Specific Risks: Understanding the unique risks associated with lithium-ion batteries, which can cause intense and difficult-to-extinguish fires. Handling and Storage: Safe handling and storage practices to minimise the risk of lithium-ion battery fires. Separation of Materials and Material Segregation - Importance of separating different types of materials to prevent the spread of fire. Containment of Small Fires - Techniques for containing small fires to prevent them from spreading.
